You can download and run a full working version of CNStats, free of charge, using a trial registration key. The trial key differs from the commercial one only in a limited usage period. At the end of the trial period you can purchase a key and continue using CNStats without data loss.

All calculations are performed via visitors' access to the site pages.
Advantages:
The system characteristics and abilities are sufficient for most projects.
Easy installation.
Additional software (crontab) is not required.
Disadvantages:
It is impossible to guarantee correct script termination upon access via the browser, as the web-server can abort its execution at any moment. The longer the script execution time, the greater is the probability of such occurrence.
Thus, there arises the possibility of loosing certain days from the statistics upon great loading, caused by incorrect counter reset at midnight (the lost days can be returned via the menu). Therefore, complex reports (for example, reports, sent via e-mail) can not be implemented at CNStats STD.
(One can solve the problem at some servers with the help of PHP-functions set_time_limit() and ignore_user_abort(), but almost all providers forbid their usage).
On account of irregular calling of additional function, the number of SQL calls upon the counter loading is greater than in CNStats PRO.
Complicated calculations are performed at the server, regardless of visitors' access at the defined time.
Advantages:
The server builds reports at the defined time (at the moment of maximal loading). Now it is possible to calculate characteristics modification dynamics (for example, changing of the number of jumps from a certain site, page or search system).
Fulfillment of complicated calculations on the schedule and reduction of calls to the database increase the system efficiency and reliability.
There is no problem of "lost days" in the statistics. The counter is reset at midnight correctly regardless of the server settings and workload.
The geographic module CNGeoip is included into the distribution kit.
Disadvantages:
Additional requirements to the server: crontab access and possibility to execute perl scripts with DBI module. However, most hosting-providers allow these opportunities at common tariff programs (ValueHost, MasterHost, RBC, Replay etc).
Complicated installation: one should set the rights for Perl-scripts correctly and add them to crontab.
"Google.Adwords" block of reports
There is no such block of reports at CNStats STD.
This block of reports is intended for analysis of effectiveness of advertising via Google.AdWords.
The reports display the log of jumps with possibility to display the advertisements appearance and rating of advertising sites (by Google.AdSense pages, sites, users).
"Site attendance" report
The number of pageviews, hosts and users is displayed at one page and at the attendance modification chart.
Up to seven characteristics of the site attendance are displayed at one page and at the attendance modification chart:
Total:
total number of pageviews;
total number of hosts.
For robots:
the number of page loadings by robots;
the number of hosts, from which robots accessed the site pages.
For visitors:
the number of pageviews of the site visitors;
the number of hosts, from which visitors access the site pages;
the number of visitors.
"Jumps history" reports
The report displays changes in the number of jumps from search systems. Maximal number of search systems displayed at a time is 3.
The report requires regular manual building.
